This painting changed everything. It not only sparked my then lost passion for creation, but also launched my art career. It is my favourite piece, as well as my most important.
Blooming sight depicts when you no longer need to see in order to grow, it is about transformation and development by simply just moving forward. It is feeling, rather than seeing. Growth comes in so many different forms, most of which are not linear. There are ups and downs, and sometimes we take a few steps back before we go forward.

This artwork explores the connection between visualisation, healing and transformation. The echinacea flower is well known for its medicinal properties, specifically in the immune system. Butterflies are a symbol of transformation. In order to transform we need to heal ourselves, this requires reflection; actually seeing and understanding where we are right now. How can we move forward without acknowledging our present self?
